The capital of the Highlands, offering riverside charm, castle views, and a gateway to Loch Ness.

Inverness is a small city with a laid-back feel, sitting on the River Ness and surrounded by Highland scenery. The city centre is walkable, with a mix of independent shops, pubs and restaurants, plus a castle perched above it all. It's a great base for exploring further afield, but also pleasant in its own right for a relaxed day or two.
