Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh
“Busy, Beautiful and Totally Worth a Visit”
by Laura Reed – June 2025

Edinburgh was amazing. It's busy, yes, but surprisingly manageable with kids in tow. We loved popping into the National Museum (free and brilliant), actually hearing the bagpipes on the Royal Mile, and grabbing easy lunches from the little cafés. Lots of walking, but worth every step. Definitely a city that sticks with you.

“A City of Stories, Stone, and Steep Streets”
by Steve – June 2025

Edinburgh is packed with character - the dramatic castle, winding closes, and postcard views from Arthur's Seat. The Royal Mile is always buzzing, and there's a strong mix of history and modern culture. A great year-round city, especially during festival season. Because parking isn't easy, we parked in Berwick-upon-Tweed station and got the train up, which was very easy.
