Bradley Stoke is nice, as far as massive housing estates go, but it's not the sort of place you'd visit for a day trip. However, the Willowbrook shopping centre is nice, with a lot of food choices from Greggs to McDonald's. Since it's only a few minutes from the M4/M5 interchange, it does make it quite a good place to stop for some lunch on a journey.
