A lively university town on the west coast, combining Victorian seaside charm with a youthful energy, historic ruins, a cliff railway, and a sweeping promenade that's perfect for sunset strolls.

Aberystwyth mixes a lovely seafront with university-town energy. The promenade is great for a stroll, there's a historic cliff railway, and it feels like a working town as well as a place to visit. Low-key but welcoming, especially in summer.
